Trophy Point Capital actively pursues investment opportunities in leading middle-market companies. We focus on service and light manufacturing businesses in which the owners are looking to transition away from the day-to-day operations of the business. We also consider situations in which the business owners are looking for additional management talent and capital to propel the company to the next level. We typically do not invest in early stage, high-technology, or turnaround situations. We are eager to hear from business owners or their representatives about businesses that meet the following criteria:
Company Criteria:
- Revenue: Greater than $5 million (smaller companies will be considered in some cases)
- Cash Flow: Greater than $2 million
- Operating (EBIT) margins: Greater than 20%
- At least three years of positive operating cash flow
- Limited customer concentration – the company should not be overly dependent on any customer
- A strong company culture that promotes customer service, teamwork and success
Industry Criteria:
- Large (at least $500 million market) and growing market, or dominant market position in a niche industry
- No dominant industry leader (unless it is the company under consideration)
- Limited cyclicality of services, revenues and labor
